Called by the Corruption Eradication Commission, Meikarta Bribery: Three Leaders of the Bekasi Regency DPRD

KanalUtama. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned three leaders of the Bekasi Regency DPRD on Tuesday to be questioned regarding Meikarta licensing bribery cases. The three people were the Chairperson of the Bekasi DPRD Sunandar, Deputy Chairperson of the Bekasi DPRD Daris and Mustakim.

"The three were questioned as witnesses for the suspect Billy Sindoro," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said on Tuesday.
The KPK previously suspected there were indications of Meikarta's licensing problems since the spatial arrangement. While the spatial arrangements were carried out jointly by the government, and the DPRD.

Today, the KPK also called the Secretary of the Bekasi Regency Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Agency Henry Lincoln. He was also examined as a witness for the suspect Billy Sindoro.

In this case, the KPK has examined a number of parties, one of which is Lippo Group CEO James Riady and Former President Director of PT Lippo Cikarang Toto Bartholomeus. As is known, the Meikarta project was carried out by PT Mahkota Sentosa Utama, which is a company analyst at PT Lippo Cikarang.

In the development of the investigation, the KPK found that Meikarta's licensing had indeed been problematic from the start. One of them is the use of backdate in a number of Meikarta licenses.

In addition, the KPK also found information that was out of sync between Lippo officials and Lippo employees who were examined as witnesses. For this reason, the KPK reminded every witness to give real information.

The KPK determined 9 suspects in this case, two of whom were the Operational Director of Lippo Group Billy Sindoro, and the Bekasi Regency Regent Neneng Hasanah Yasin. Billy allegedly gave Rp. 7 billion in bribes to Neneng to smooth Meikarta's licensing.
